Efficient Home Ventilation with Heat Recovery for Comfort and Health
Mechanical Heat Recovery Ventilation (MHRV) is a system that brings fresh air into your home while keeping the indoor temperature comfortable and energy-efficient. It works by using a heat exchanger to transfer warmth from the stale outgoing air to the fresh incoming air—without mixing the two.
How It Works:
Stale Air Extraction: The system extracts warm, moist air from areas like kitchens and bathrooms.
Heat Exchange: This extracted air passes through a heat exchanger, transferring its warmth to the incoming fresh air.
Fresh Air Supply: Filtered fresh air is then supplied to living areas such as bedrooms and living rooms, maintaining a comfortable indoor climate.
Benefits and why it's important for a home:
Improves air quality by constantly supplying fresh, filtered air.
Saves energy by reusing heat from outgoing air, reducing heating and cooling costs. Leading to energy savings.
Reduces humidity prevents condensation and mould growth, helping maintain a healthy indoor environment.
Supports airtight homes that are energy-efficient but need proper ventilation.
Comfort: Maintains a consistent indoor temperature and air quality, contributing to overall comfort.
